Video isn’t any better, it’s saturated too and phones are decent enough. Plus they usually have friends with cameras who do it for fun.

Sonys are soulless but hard to beat for video. But panasonic wipe the floor with them in terms of ergonomics. For enjoyment in stills photography i’d go hasselblad if cost is no object. Some like fuji colors and ergonomics, i don’t. Which leaves us with good old nikon and canon. Nikon has amazing colors imo. Canon is annoying with apple style forced limitations. But used EF lenses are insane value if you can live with an adapter.
