This is mostly a more philosophical/toilet thoughts topic but…

Does any of you use them? For me, their quality/becoming a living ad aside, I pretty much only use sling straps, and they are just too short for that. Actually I feel it’s pretty crappy they can only be used on the neck, where even an average mirrorless/lens dangling for hours d certainly hurt you, instead of explaining/giving some alternative options new people could be oblivious about.

Isn’t it also a bit odd how manufacturers include just the same strap from their most entry models, up to the multi-thousand dollar flagships? Like, I don’t expect a PD strap with a, dunno 4000D, but wouldn’t you expect better if you a shelling $4000 or something?

Anyway, dinner time!

You definitely want to go for a bag that doesn’t scream “cameras”.

That said, both myself and they guy I share a studio with have multiple Peli cases with camera and lighting gear in them, which have stickers on the outside that indicate what’s inside. We came to the conclusion that a Peli usually has something worth nicking inside anyway and it’s more useful for us or an assistant (who might be on their first job with you) to know what’s inside without having to go searching. Besides the chances of someone being able to outrun you while lugging a massive flight case are pretty small anyway!
