This is mostly a more philosophical/toilet thoughts topic but…

Does any of you use them? For me, their quality/becoming a living ad aside, I pretty much only use sling straps, and they are just too short for that. Actually I feel it’s pretty crappy they can only be used on the neck, where even an average mirrorless/lens dangling for hours d certainly hurt you, instead of explaining/giving some alternative options new people could be oblivious about.

Isn’t it also a bit odd how manufacturers include just the same strap from their most entry models, up to the multi-thousand dollar flagships? Like, I don’t expect a PD strap with a, dunno 4000D, but wouldn’t you expect better if you a shelling $4000 or something?

Anyway, dinner time!

I can’t stand camera straps, and only use them when I absolutely have to, so quick release is a must for those rare occasions. I use a PD strap but I don’t even like having the PD anchors on my camera - I put the anchors on a capture clip and attach the strap to that.

No camera strap that has come with any of my cameras has ever come out of the box.
