  • I bought Pure Raw 3 a few months before Adobe added their ML noise reduction to LR.

I would not buy it again. The new tool in LR is great.

LR states lens corrections, I still notice a bit of vignette at the wide end of my RF 24-70.

If I was annoyed by it I guess I could shoot a white wall, correct and save as default for that lens.

Distortion. Doesn’t seem bad on my lens to notice if LR is doing anything. Again could shoot a brick wall, correct and save as default

The cause is that the readout speed of the sensor is too slow (eg 1\50s), so the lights turn off and on while the sensor is reading different parts of the image. Even if you use a very fast shutter time like 1\500s

Mechanical shutter solves this as it wipes the entire sensor in like 1\200s, so the brightness change in the scene doesn’t change significantly from top to bottom.

Get a faster read camera like Canon R3, Nikon Z8\9. Or use mechanical shutter.

  • If Kim Kardashian wants professional photos of herself on her Greek holiday, I am sure her PA has a guy to call to fly out there. Or they will find a local photographer.

For video, eg Best Damn Food Review, they have a full video crew they bring with the host and a dozen people in back office editing.

Others, eh Nate Kara, are making BANK. But they still film everything themselves and have someone else edit.

I can’t think of an equivalent example for stills work. But again, I would expect it would be a full time job permanently attached to the organization. Not a two week job you can pick up between a few different clients.

Let’s say you find an account on Instagram, all the pictures have the same vibe and kind of filter added to them

You can nicely ask them advice on how they achieve their look.

Maybe they bought a commercial preset pack you can buy too.

Though I get impression more people are selling presets than using them 🤣
