As a beginner I would invest in books such as Understanding Exposure by Bryan Peterson. I’m not a fan of most online courses because you essentially become a so-so clone of the teacher. In person is nice when you can shoot with them and get instant feedback.
Wedding photog here. 24-70 f/2.8 Sony GM is my main workhorse for the bulk of the day. But for getting ready shots I typically use the 35 f/1.4 GM.
I’d say that the 35 is my “favorite” but I can’t use it all day. Used to love the 70-200 but I realized that I used it more because I wasn’t as capable of shooting wide shots that told a full story. Now I can only use it for the ceremony for the most part.
Can you run a gravel supply company? Or a small accounting office? If yes then you can also be a professional photographer because the business acumen is the bulk of what’s needed.
