If you are trying to make money with photography, essentially what you are doing is creating a product or service as a small business. Part of that is the marketing and promotion side of things. It’s going to be really hard to catch people’s attention if you try to market 15 different aspects of your photography.
It’s sort of like talking in a crowded room. It’s so easy to blend in with the background noise, you need to find a way to really stand out to be successful.
Personally, I don’t see the issue. I’m going to go the polar opposite of most of the other comments telling you how to hide your height and say stand tall and proud. Or short, or however this post finds you. I hope you totally rock your natural appearance!
Appearance wise I’m sure I check all the boxes for things that need to be “fixed”, but you only get but a short time on this planet and I’m going to let haters hate and not sweat the rest.

Strange, I suppose I see both sides though. I personally probably wouldn’t use these services from someone with that sort of mindset, but I also don’t see the entire interaction.
The truth is it’s tough out here for those of us trying to make a living, and you have to draw the line somewhere about what to charge for. I don’t think it’s the end of the world to answer a question about general focal length in a community forum though.

You realize you don’t have to take photos of yourself if you don’t want to, right? Best decision I ever made was to stop participating in activities that don’t bring me joy. I often give a simple “no thanks” when someone asks to take a selfie photo with me. Or any photo with me in it.
I’m very insistent on being excluded from this activity, and I’ve had more than a few tense conversations about this with friends and family.
Selfies were largely not a thing 10-15 years ago…
I agree with the question of “what is your end result?”. Prints? Web viewing? Stock?
If prints are your goal, order some test prints without color correction and see how close the color and contrast is. 4x6’s or proof prints from most major companies are pretty inexpensive.
Upgrade your storage on your computer, that’s my recommendation. I have 2tb ssd’s that back up to Google Drive, and I also have 2tb external drives for back ups.
Storage is relatively cheap these days.
I exclusively do low-light and no-light photos.
On a tripod: iso 100, f8, and then let the camera meter the shutter speed. That should get you in the ballpark.
