I’ve been photographing for awhile now, but honestly unless I’m shooting landscapes or flowers, there is ZERO way I can manually finesse all my settings when trying to get an animal photo. It’s far too hard lol

I mean, yes and no 😅
Can you get that ultra wide, 180 degree effect shot on a disposable versus a camera fitted with that lens? No, it’d be the gear in that case. Lots of gear can achieve super quality versus mediocre quality for IQ and such.
When my photoshop decides to take a literal coffee break by bathing in the coffee next to it 🫠
It has been a shitty few days.
But in terms of like viewership pet peeves, when people try to go for the “old filmy” look by just like blowing the shit out of their highlights and vignetting. Why people 😭
I somehow managed to get myself allowed to photograph these wildfire ruins with these safety supervisors permission. I was primarily going around them and never even asked to go into the burnt forest part, but these guys saw me carting all my stuff around and asked me what I was doing. I explained I’m doing a photo series on wildfires and their aftermath to advocate for more attention to climate change and such. They liked the idea, asked if I wanted to go into the area somewhat to get wide photos and closeup of ashes, etc. (couldn’t go too far in because there still might be embers which is why they were there). They were super nice, just said they hoped it worked out well for me and I got into a gallery lol
Idk who they were personally, but if I get this into a gallery, I will definitely be dedicating it to them
Whenever I do photograph people, I usually try to do it so you genuinely can’t see their face. I wouldn’t want someone to be photographed, and perhaps have that likeness sold for profit without my permission. That’s not right.
I typically stick to animals that won’t attack me (because I once was attacked by a crow and I genuinely am concerned it will happen again, so animals are photographed very far away from me) inanimate flowers amd landscapes lol
I feel bad so, I photograph plants and animals 😅
I’d want to do a whole frame by frame photo series of the guy who changes that one lightbulb every year. I have zero resources to do so though ( a helicopter, the gear required etc.). I just think it’d be super interesting to follow him up through the clouds, back down, the endurance required, how careful he is handling the bulb.
