Not a lot of things disappoint me in life but this thing sure did. I showed her my portfolio, everything was great I agreed to do the wedding for 400$ and asked 150 as an advance to book me. Pre wedding is in one week , she ghosted me no response, called her she cut the call. Is it generally this tough getting clients
I’m not quite sure what the issue is here. If she had given you $150 as a deposit and she ghosted you, that means you “earned” $150 for doing nothing. She either goes with some other photographer (which doesn’t mean this photographer is better/worse than you, but I’ll say he/she’s probably worse off knowing the situation with the couples so I’d even consider myself dodged a bullet), or she goes with no photo coverage. Neither sounds like a problem for you. And you still have all your equipment and your skills as a photographer to go out and book again.
Seems like a win-win to me.
