I ride my bike alot and I find I really enjoy taking photos but sadly with my phone it’s limiting.

Any cameras that are fair priced but good for a beginner to learn and not need to upgrade from

Entry level that still takes good pics: I only know nikon, so I’ll say the d3500. It can be had pretty cheap and still takes outstanding photos

Canon 6d remains the best value dslr period. Pair it with the 50mm 1.8 stm and you’re off to the races with a full frame beginners kit for around $500.

Great choice - cheap, but capable of great photography. The D5600 is also quite compact, and can probably be obtained cheaply. Lots of good DX F glass is out there, too. For someone just starting and who wants a light kit, the VR kit lens (I want to say 24-55mm?) might be a good way to go. Should be dirt cheap used, and the VR will help a lot for a new shooter on a body with no IBIS. Lots of room to expand from there.

What are you taking photos of while out riding? What about your phone is limiting?

I don’t do much more than some quick snapshots of things I find interesting (for Stories and maybe a hard post somewhere down the line) so my phone is good enough for that.

I do take my DSLR places on my bike to take photos but rarely keep it assembled and ready to shoot something right away.
