Hi!

I’m relatively new to photography (2 years) and I have a lot of good pictures but I feel due to different places, people, and lights all my pictures look different.

I’d like to create a more unique style and also image editing, but I constantly change my ideas and editing style because it doesn’t always fit.

Do you have good advice on how to become more consistent? Like what type of edits do you apply across all images so that despite the subject or light or situation it makes the pictures throughout memorable?

I do have only 1 lens 35mm which I think is already helpful for being consistent. But maybe there’s something else about some settings or things I can think about using consistently as well.

I think my personality is already a bit chaotic so this reflects in my images.

I do portrait and street photography.

Don’t overthink it. That’s my main piece of advice. Keep seeking out subject matter that you enjoy shooting and keep experimenting with editing styles until you find yourself comfortably settling into something where the results consistently please you.

Or, maybe embrace that you like a little chaos and stylistic differences between individual photos. Let the photo itself determine how you want to go about editing.
