I am looking to purchase digital photographs and would like a couple to be printed on ~24” by 36” for hanging in the house.
The photographer advertises 800px, 2500px and 4800px sizes. Would I be able to get away with 2500px on a picture that large? Is there more information needed?

You’ll want the 4800. 2500px on 36" is only 69ppi, which sounds nice, but would look like shit unless you were standing 10 feet away from the print. 4800px on 36" is 133ppi, which while not ideal, is a lot better than 69.
