Hey everyone,

I bought myself a Fuji X-T4 and am looking for SD cards.

I got one 128 GB Sony card (SF-E128) V60 UHS-II and one 64 GB card (SF-E64) V30 UHS-II card.

These models have been recommended by the Fuji website as compatible. Now, I’m confused as both cards are UHS-II, yet one is V60 and the other is V30. Will the perfomance of the buffer in burst shots and with video recording be hampered by the V30 card, even if it is UHS-II?

Both have a reading speed of up to 270 MB/s and a read speed of 70 and 120 MB/s.

I’m a little lost and am thinking about just getting two V60 cards after all.

    It’s not about read speed, it’s about write speed. You write data to the card remember.

    v30 = 30 MB/s, v60 = 60 MB/s, v90 = 90MB/s

    The higher the better for video, higher framerate (4k/8k) means more data needs to be written.

    There is more, like the U and Class speed but generally just get U3 Class 10 cards and then pick whatever V you want, or what your camera can handle.

    Oh one more thing, SDHC card supports the FAT32 file system (so files longer than 4GB will be split in multiple files. The SDXC card supports the exFAT file system, which allows a non-stop video recording until the memory card is full.

      All SD cards support all filesystems, it’s entirely up to the host to format them as pleased.

      Awesome, thanks for the info! But would the lower speed of the V30 card limit the speed of my V60 card, considering I save photos only on the V30 and only videos on the V60?

        If your camera will write videos only to one card at a time, only its speed should matter.
