I am the official photographer for my school’s performing arts department. After shooting basically the exact same wide angle band shots, low angle single shots, and close ups for the past several months, I have gotten pretty bored. Any tips for shooting more interesting compositions?

This is all pretty cliche but
water on drums + gelled flash
trombonist close up with the widest, most perspective distorting lens you have
reflections in whatever the biggest, shiniest brass instrument is
there’s an Apocalyptica video where they project a skull onto the cellos, another one where they have dry ice inside the cellos (might want to research that before damaging anything :P)
